    Boots with replaceable soles?

Trying to do some research up on boots with replaceable soles but all that seems to keep coming up are supermoto boots and although I haven't had a look at any yet they do look like a hassle to put on with all the buckles, probably really heavy and make using the rear brake and upshifting a hassle. Anyone know of any other more race style boots perhaps (?) with replaceable soles and even better less flexibility in the ankle for side to side movement? TIA

Do you mean they can be resoled?

A decent cobbler can resole almost anything. I've had a couple of motorcycle boots done in the past. Worked well.

Nah I mean you literally take off the old sole yourself and replace it with a new one, think they screw in or something.

if the boot itself is still sound any boot can be resoled as above.I am not aware of any boot with a properly replacebale sole like you suggest

Heres one http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/...Supermoto-0001 replace the soles with these http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/...tard-Sole-0001 but those are OTT for road use, wanted to see if i could find anything else lighter.

???????? Do you plan on leaving feet on the ground while riding like a motard rider in a corner?

Shape up some 5mm thick steel toe and heel plates and attach them - they will make most excellent sparks!!!! Go Titanium if you want lightness!

The only boot brand I have seen do the screw on sole is SIDI, and only on the boots where you are likely to wear the sole out. ie the motorcross or supermoto boots. Which I think are the same boot really, the Crossfire SRS.

Why do you want boots with user replaceable soles?
we may just go where no ones been

The Sidi Vortice road/race boot also has a replaceable sole, though it's only the ball/arch part (this is the bit that usually wears out first anyway).
