That's why I will be giving the Waiau School ride in April a go. The first time in four years. I figure it will a relative calm one, not like the ones where Glenville Button try's to turn all the riders into enduro racers.
Compare Pornography now to 50 years ago.
Then extrapolate 50 years into the future.

    Motonau/Greta Valley trail ride

What an excellent ride! Short main loop-30kms and 20kms of tricky enduros!!!! Weather was awesome-showing 31 degrees when we left. Only about 250 riders so not at all busy. The enduros were so much fun, 3 sections of MTB tracks into gullies and a fourth section that just went on forever. I did stay out of the extreme enduro section because I chose life! And only $50! The views from the ridges over Motanau were incredible. I will be back for this one. Next week is Danseys. Bring it.

I didn't do Motanau in favour of going to Danseys, heading down Friday, going to head into Mt Buster on Sunday

Sweet weekend! You think you will have enough energy for Mt Buster after Danseys? Which way will you be going in? The Dansey's intermediate loop is too easy imho. Advanced trees [and hopefully advanced tussock] FTMFW!

I'm normally ok the day after a ride, Staying in Naseby Saturday night and go in from there, not sure what loops we'll do, I haven't been to it before

Naseby is a good base. The ride up Mt Buster is loose with lots of water tables. Fun on the Beta. Look to go right at Mt Buster proper and up Mt Kyeburn, then down onto Dansey's pass and back to Naseby. Be careful about heading into the Awakino, unless you are on the KTM, because fuel.

Probably heading up and across to the Ida Railway hut and back, but we might come back down Kyeburn, range is an issue although I have a 6 L fuel bladder I can take
