Fitted one in my 1998 RMX250 along with a MotoZ Arena Hybrid recently, fuck me it's impressive, ran it at 8psi first time out on some pretty slippery stuff and it hooked up better than I thought possible, lot more feel while braking, made the front feel like shit though, might have to kit out the mighty DR143 big block to help contain the power

There's a limit when lowering makes for a long squat bike.

I have to confess I am considering an X Trainer, I like the physically smaller size although given electric start it doesn't make as much difference, all the youtube videos telling me how shit the front end is are slightly off putting though

Check out Geoff Ballard on YOUTUBE. He bought a 21 and was impressed enough to buy a 22 Xtrainer AND run it in a 4 day event WITHOUT modifying the suspension.

    Transmoto channel?

Just put it on me list of viewing.. Cheers.

Still fancy a decent trials bike with a seat, though.

Here are a couple of vids taken on trails at The Farm, where I normally ride. Done both of these and the camera does not do justice to the terrain.

Certainly those trails are so different to most of what we ride down here. Looks like perfect Xtrainer territory.

Already watched them along with several from others saying how much better they were with front end mods and swaps

I figured they would be a bit different. Torquey 300's can tractor up some horrible hills with a good rider but when it goes wrong it can go really wrong.

Weight and agility are key for me, after 4 or 5 hours on those tracks with my wee 125 4t trials bike I'm spent. 2 hours on the CRM and I'm wishing for a helicopter.

Pre kids I'd be saying, right I need to come down and give youse guys a riding lesson, mock your easy trails , and give you all a comparison of my suspension tuning mastery to stock.

Fortunately I'm booked up for allowable weekends away so I don't have to expose myself to the obvious likely end result ego deflation.

In the absence, the takeaway message is, - I am awesome.

I'll be in maugatuks on Trials bike tomorrow. Finally got the 2nd one going so going to indoctrinate a mate into the sport.

Actually I'm cheating as he ended up with my aircooled Beta about 20 yrs ago and he still has it. But there are about 5 others lined up next.

There's an actual Trial down from where we will be do might pop in for a look see, but wanted to get some practice before deciding to compete as I'm super rusty.
