    Knee armour

Lookin at getting some kevlar jeans for summer commute to/from work, and want to get some knee armour to go underneath. I'm rather attached to my kneecaps.

Anyone have a brand/model they can recommend?

Got given a pair of these for my birthday:

Great for keeping your knees warm (especially over thermals), feel a bit weird when you first put them on but i've worn them all day no problem, and they're always in the right spot. YMMV.

Another worth considering: Thor Static. They have a pin-holed neoprene to hold them in place and so breathe to some extent. And they are quite comfy to...

And a set of these →http://www.motomail.co.nz/estore/style/saarstkneea.aspx
Will cost you $196.... cheaper than a pair of these →http://www.motomail.co.nz/estore/style/djpacombat.aspx which is what I wear during the warmer season with not a concern.

Does anyone wear armour under their jeans all day not on the bike? Or is it something you have to take out when you get there in order to be comfortable walking around?

I used to wear MotoX knee armor under my jeans all day no worries.

The only down side, was wearing holes in the knees of my jeans. As soon as there was something solid covering my knees, I would drag them when cornering.

I always wear my g-form armour under my jeans for a full day if need be

    http://g-form.com/products/knee-pad/

Not bulky enough to notice through your pants and provides enough protection.

I bought a pair of these a few months ago and they fit nice when im wearing them like normal jeans however when I'm on the bike the foam knee guards ride up way too high not covering the knee at all so if I was to go down there would most likely be no protection.
When standing the knee guards are in proper place (maybe a tad low)
When sitting on a chair (as I did when trying them before purchasing) they fit perfect, the guards are in the right spot.

They're fitted properly as there isn't a lot of play/no way of putting them in wrong unless installed upside down which I haven't

Kevlar jeans are for short rides, I.e. commutes where you are taking bugger all risks so an off is unlikely anyway, so armour is overkill. If you are pushing that hard on the way to work you think you are likely to crash, wear leather.
