    Spring is in the air or so I thought

    Beautiful day so dragged the TL outta the shed and went for a tiki tour,coming back from Dunedin i decided to call in at Graves dam and have the first dip of the yearwrong thing to do as it was bloody freezing..was a real quick dip then out gaspingRefreshing i guess,couple of pics of said dam and the bike up the road at the old sawmill.

    Supposed to be snow down to 200mts early this week, real warm here today though. Not warm enough for swimming though.

    Aye it did that,bit of shrinkage in others to.Worst thing was no bloody towel to dry off,must have looked like a right lunatic jumping up n down atop the dam.Thankfully no cars went over the bridge whilst doing so.

    Yep i did mate,the guys on the TL site managed to convince M4 to do a small run of complete systems for the TLS (was discontinued a few years back) so the wtf and bought one,still got that other setup but am going to fit some other cans to it..sometime.

    C.B. and I went down to Pounawea in the Olds (ex-Oamaru car) and give the Thermette it's first boil-up for the spring, had a cuppa and a couple of bikkys then home, nice day for a cruise.

    We looked at the water, talked about floundering - then thought "Naaahhh.." - it ain't THAT warm yet.

    You made the right decision mate,might give it another go around the end of Setember,Graves dam is generally a fair bit colder than the likes of the Kakanui river even in mid summer,beautiful clear clean water though.

    Waders is what you need, went down to waikawa last weekend and got a few. Good size too.
