    Jiiiiimmminy.

Been spring over here for a few weeks. Clear skies and mid 20's. Best time of year in Brisbane.
Cooler nights though - pool water is still too chilly.
Have been doing some good dirt riding on the KLR up around the Glasshouse Mountains in perfick conditions.

I'd rather have your TL than many of the new bikes on the market.

Suzuki bits are often very interchangeable - can you get a slipper clutch for the TL?
Heres a pic (courtesy of TLDV8) of a proper slipper clutch fitted to an S Al,happy enough with the primitive oem setup myself, get it right and the sliding into corners is awesome.

Had a dip in the Waikukupa river up the west coast last week, but only because I lost my footing while crossing. Im sure the chamois on the other side were laughing at me, the bastards. Fark me it was cold.

C.B. and I went down to Pounawea in the Olds (ex-Oamaru car) and give the Thermette it's first boil-up for the spring, had a cuppa and a couple of bikkys then home, nice day for a cruise.

We looked at the water, talked about floundering - then thought "Naaahhh.." - it ain't THAT warm yet.
I put a net out over the weekend - got some flounder, some small kahawai (cat food) and a very large mullett ...

The water here was a little cool but not too bad .. soon I'll take the boat out and get some snapper in the deep freeze as well ... as long as the bastards don't cut the daily limit - I fish in Area 1
