    Hosting

I had enough of paying Domainz high prices. It was OK when I was getting good support, but that changed for the worse. They even got bolshey when I complained. Upside was they were close to achieving their claimed up time.

Anyway, I moved hosting and was seduced by the cheap prices and unlimited bandwidth at Crazy Domains. Unfortunately you get what you pay for there and the down time was horrendous. Support was pretty bad too. They almost manage to keep deleting their facebook page complaints as soon as they are posted. Not quite. We're talking in hundreds.

So I moved it all again to Go Daddy. Again it was a price and unlimited bandwidth decision. Currently I haven't been able to FTP for 3 hours.

Is there a reliable host that doesn't charge a fortune for next time I have a guts full?

Or rate yours as one to avoid.

    Go Daddyu is notorious.
I have used greengeeks.com for my hosting and other sites I administer for 4 years. Very impressive up time and service. They have responded to me on their live support chat window within 30 seconds each time I've tried it.

Local, Digiweb has always been good for us... no idea what their current rates are, but probably not the cheapest.

As you've found however, you can have cheap or quality, not both

Meganetserve is where Kiwi Biker is hosted. Best server hosting company I have been with.

I use one of Net24's VPS packages to run a handful of sites.

How big is the site you're running? I might be able to stick it on my VPS and do you a better rate.
