    Cold starting

Hi folks sorry for the noob question I have a 2010 vtr 250 just of late when starting from cold the bike fires up fine I let it warm up for a bit all fine but if i get any gas itt stalls so I start it again and it ticks over real slow almost like its going to stall again buy the revs start to pick up to 2000 and run fine until it's warm then drop back to warm tick over. But it's taking longer and longer to warm up enough so it don't stall in the mornings checked ed plug fule filter anyone got any ideas what it could be. Thanks for any help

The routine of warming it up in the morning is something you will just need to get used to. My old FZR used to be a cunt to start in the mornings and would often need to be roll started multiple times before the engine would even fire off the starter. Buy a big heavy canvas cover and stick it over the bike at night, when its still warm. It should be alot easier to start in the morning.

You will get the technique down sooner or later. But yeah, once you get a injected bike that has the cold start function properly tuned you won't ever have this problem again hopefully

    Add to the OP.

"I did some work on my bike now it's having issues. I changed the oil and cleaned the plugs now it's having cold starting issues"

At first I thought it sounded like the choke doing it's job. Now it looks like you need to pull the plugs out, get new ones and don't screw them up.

How did you clean them? Did you remove a layer of metal with the grime? Did you bend it?
