Fantastic weekend....just a little over 1700kms including twisty tarmac, freshwater streams, beach, and gravel. Great company and great weather.

Here's a link to a few quick and dirty pics from the weekend. Will have to sort the video later, but it looks better on a bigger screen.

That was an incredible weekend, the San marino is awesome, can't ask for a place closer to the water than that, Nadine and I are thinking of going back for a weekend during summer too.

Was awesome to see you all again and meet some new faces, hopefully next time I will do a better job at navigating and wont lead people around in circles haha.

Can't wait for the next outing thanks Mark and Ann for organizing such an awesome trip

I made it to speedway with 40 minutes up my sleeve. Just under 1400km for my round trip.

Perfect weather, great company, good beer, amazing roads and stunning views.

Mangamukas were perfect! Great to carve on a sunny day this year.

So whens the next Ls angels thread starting?

Awesome set of photos Chris, really captures the whole essence of the Cape Ride. Your semfiddy is a stunner.

I was really pleased with the slower group, a good constant pace on all there days.
After leaving Mangawhai yesterday I didn't wait for anyone, just wanted to take advantage of the road back to SH1 so went for a wee blast.

Interesting trip had its ups and downs.

Had great fun riding! Wonderful venue choice thank you!

Have lost a plastic bag with tobacco in it. Not too fussed about the smokes but it had my mums rolling machine in it so if anyone's found it could they please let me know.

Mongolian: we liked circles lol!! That's was a nifty route.

+1. That circuitous route was second only to the Mangamuka Gorge for this weekend, hope you saved that in your GPS! We'll have to lead you south around the Hetherington Road loop which I accidentally did twice (honest!).
We've worked out how to find Twin Bridges, so won't make that mistake again. That too is a lovely stretch.
Note to self: Pack a map and know the planned route (My memory and navigation skills are as bad as each other)

Still very much a learning experience on each of these trips. Enjoyed discussing riding skills with a few. Applying technically better road-riding lines (as opposed to random fun lines!) has initially slowed us down, but it will be worth it!

Absolutely shattered last night, and late to work this morning due to the thought of sitting on the bike again lol.

Really enjoying meeting and riding with others. Looking forward to the next trip, and would be interested in contributing more as opposed to just following along.
Once again a great weekend with a diverse bunch of people. Thanks to all for making it what it was.
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

Thank you VERY MUCH, Maha and Mom for such a great weekend! It obviously took a lot of effort to organise it so well. This was the best group ride I have ever done! Great people, great roads and great weather! Thanks once again!

Remember, defect rectification and unplanned maintenance extends your time alongside, not that I'm implying anything Do you take your bike onboard?

Would have been great if the roads to the Auckland West Coast beaches were the same quality.

Did you know that smoking is bad for you? Maybe it's a sign!?

Keen for a day trip some time? Do the forest along the way?
