I will have to remember where the path up is if we go for a walk. I think it's 1/2 way from the Merino to the end of the beach? Comes up to the road below pa road. If it is still there 25 years later. Good memory exercise.
Man, we clambered and climbed, all over the show I don't do hills well, so found it a challenge. Dead ends with a "PRIVATE PROPERTY" sign preventing you from going further are a real bastard

I wont offer to go up there again...

Bet you will have the best fun finding your way, glorious view from the top though, and well worth the effort I am sure.

They can take photos and show us more flat surface loving peoples?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

(google maps search) found it! Opposite 8 Kotare Drive is a little walkway that goes up to Mahoe Lane. Along there, up to Rangikapiti Road, and up to the Pa. At least you didn't try to head round the rocks. Doable, but difficult. Good fishing at times. I am sure looking back on it I was a very reckless child who did things I wouldn't do these days...

I reckon it is a fair bet that many of us would have tales to tell of just HOW reckless we were in our youth. I can remember one instance where I was passenger in a car, lit a thunder cracker and went to turf it out the window. Friggen thing bumped the front pillar as I went to chuck it out, it turned in my hand and exploded! Talk about shit yourself. The impact of the explosion made my hand go numb, and I was deaf for a couple of days. Very lucky I did not blow a couple of fingers off really. Them were the days

I used to be something of a mountain goat as a kid, sadly, I seem to have out grown that ability.

There were two names that I didn't recognise when I looked at the bookings at the weekend, and they had yet to be assigned a bed, I put one in place of Bryce and the other in place of Rodney. In short, everyone has a bed and there are none left.

    Sorry guys,

Going to have to scratch me from the list. Boss #2 just pulled my leave, the guy filling in for me was in a "traffic accident" over the weekend and is pretty banged up apparently.

The vet had a quick listen to Tigger's purring this morning. He believes it's not terminal, she still has a bit of life left in her.
Fingers crossed that he's pre-assessed correctly, he's booked to strip the carbs 3 days before we head north - which is not enough time to buy another bike...

A tad unhappy (to put it politely) with the bike shop who didn't identify that the engine is flooding. Apparently any half decent mechanic should have picked it up, but all they did was replace the plugs.

I'll confirm on Wednesday next week whether I'm on for the trip. I suspect being pillion on a ZXR250 is not really an option.
I'd rather be sorry for something I've done, than for something I didn't do.

Now seems there is room...23 confirmed at this stage so that make at least 2 beds available.
