Wha....?? My guess would be overseas too.

No to the tax man, no to overseas either.
I don't want him to sell it, hopefully he wont have to.
Just think change of lifestyle, change of pace. I did another 2 day hospital stay earlier this week, scared myself and a few other nearests and dearests in the process, kind of sealed the resolve, then things started looking positive for us.
We will know more certainly in a couple of weeks time. Very exciting times.
Tax man is my friend, he gifted me $2800 in June so can't complain and the only place overseas I would like to live is a small island about 3 1/2 flying time north of here.
On selling the bike? the only reason is I don't ride it enough, since August, rides have been Ohura Prison/get some new tyres put on it in September and the Cape ride, that's it. Other stuff had to be attended too in between and most fine weekends I have been working on the caravan. What we have in the planning stage, there will be even less time to get out for a ride, I only need some old $K5 shitter at best to be honest.
It'll work out Stephen.
PS: I was thinking about starting up a caravan park with Waxzel but his pension wont stretch that far.
Changing your life with style, sounds good to me.

This was the very last L's Angels ride. I will no longer be able to organise any rides of this nature due to our new employment.
A huge thanks to everyone that has attended any/all of the rides, seven in total... Three Northland rides/Kawhia/Taupo/New Plymouth and Ohura Prison.
Each ride has been a real pleasure to put together and we have enjoyed them all. My favourite was the first Cape ride if I were to be honest, the weather was mint the whole weekend, we had a heap of L platers with us, and it was a little of the unknown as to how these rides would pan out. Scott the Pot banger must get a mention as a stand out moment on the first ride.
The Prison ride was a real blast also... loved that ride.
$10 off everyone at Taupo gave us enough to buy 18 pizza's for tea and enough beans/hash browns/bacon/eggs and bread to feed 24 people the next morning, thanks to Matt on the B-B-Q.
Sad really, it's a shame there are no people willing to take up the baton and keep L'Angels going. Thanks for a few fun rides and getting to meet some cool riders.
Will miss Mom's hugs![]()

Such a shame, you always arranged perfectly timed rides where everyone had a blast. My first group ride was the Kawhia trip on the tard.
I think the Ls angels group rides are a great learning curve for learning riders. Not to mention how much fun they have been for the rides/socialising for everyone.
I'd love to carry these rides on if everyone else still wants to.
Hey I'm sure once you guys have settled in the L rides could be bought to you. Looking after a motel can be hard at times, I should know!! Good luck!!
What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?
Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.
Sorry to hear the era has come to a close, many thanks for the three great rides I got to come along onand best of luck in the new venture.
I'd be starter if they can carry on in some form.

Jan and I went up to Cape Reinga in the motorhome a couple of weeks ago and the weather was just perfect ... the last time Jan was there was in May 1976 as we rounded the Cape on a very dirty night on our way to Australia in out yacht. It was a really heavy blow, and big seas, and of course with no GPS in those days when the weather got bad ones security was in sailing out deep well away from land ..... a bloody miserable night which we still remember vividly. Today the GPS gives one the security of knowing ones position in all weathers and you can close the land to find shelter.
A long winded introduction, but the trip bought back again to me the great Cape Reinga trip on the bikes in October last year which was so well organised by Mark and Anne ... miss you guys but glad you are doing what you want to. Miss also the camaraderie of the trip, the lemoncello, the great long winded forum thread that accompanied every trip, I could go on.
Thanks you two, for all you did for us in organising and running the events.
