Nice meeting some real live Kiwibikers at Cape Reinga today. What a day for a ride!
We found him...Well, Hayden did at least.
Phew. Resting my buns at the autobahn cafe, then the last 95 km home!
There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those that do not.
Best year yet weather wise, 862kms and some of the best food eaten on away trips so far. Thirty/30 in Paihia did a sterling job at getting the food out all at once, as did the Pukenui Café. Pays having a polite word in the ear before arriving I guess.
Massive thank you to everyone who came on the trip this year, yes even the shower master of unit 7
Small fire on the beach last night with marshmellows and alcohol, yes the two mix very well together, theres a boy scout in ever man (that doesn't sound quiet how I meant it)
Simon (bluninja) gets the legend card for the weekend, came all the way from the Naki and is current still riding back there.
The weather at the lighthouse was still/hot/blue sky and stunning.
Once again the San Marino staff excelled themselves in providing the meals/venue, Nari and co were an absolute delight.
Thanks again to Maha and Mom for another great trip, took the wrong turn from Maungawhai and ended up north of Wellsford (doh!) but home now doing the chores and rocking another flannel on my sunburnt head as I type this (classy).
High five to MarkW and the other 90-milers, that was great, Bluninja's improvised gopro shot some awesome footage can't wait to see the Director's cut.
Had a great time so thanks to everyone really, even had soap and towels left for me by the tent like it was a real room and everything (thanks Nari).
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.- The Simpsons
Come on Doogle where are those pics!!!
Now "ThAT" is what I would call a awesome weekend many thanks to maha and Mom for all the effort and the rest of the crew for the great laughs ..cheers all !!!
Yes Juniper was right......
Loved the entire thing! Thanks Mark and Anne for such a well run outing! It was awesome seeing all you agan, and great to meet some new faces too!
Glad to hear you found you way home safe Rodney!
Big props to Nari for great food and a kind welcome.

I have eaten so much food this weekend I cant face "proper" food tonight. I have made a big bowl of fruit salad, that is going to be it for us.
Yet again the San Marino was the BEST place to stay ever! Really missed Irene and Graeme, as a few said it somehow wasn't the same, but what a fantastic job Nari and her helpers did!
As always, huge laughs, eh Tiimeh! Far Canal, the conversation at the breakfast table this morning...
So nice to see Becca looking less like a fresh off the place Pom this morning too.
Thanks Mom & Maha for organising another first class weekends riding. The weather, the company, the scenery all just the best. Arrived home in time to change all of the fluids on the bike in preparation for the ride to the south island next weekend.
I must say that was a stellar weekend worth every minute of it! Nothing better than a long ride to see NZ and learn from follow riders, andas nerd mentioned the beach was awesome, and thanks maha and mom for organising everything it looked like it went 100% to plan
