    Ride Info Please Read

    :This ride is Learner Friendly
:One Group will be for the more Spirited Riders

:Each Group Leader will control the group speed.
:Saturday... Ride to the Cape. There is the option of some time on 90 Mile Beach for those that want to that.

BYO Alcohol (no car run this time, drinks can also be picked up on Saturday on the way back from the Cape)

*Tenting is an option (cost pp is the same, use of toilet/shower in units)
: Those that want to tent, feel free, you will be meters from the sand/sea..

    * Rooms are on a Twin/Triple/Quad/Quin share or more basis.
There is also room/beds above the office but Nari (Camp Mother) is very good at delegation on such matters.
Last year there were up to 5 blokes in one unit ....3 girls in another etc, worked well.

    *The meaning of regroup.
...is to stop and regroup. Not take gear off and light up a smoke.

No egos or heroes, we just don't care.

    Announce Bookings

I will only add names once a booking has been made at the San Marino.

Let me know when you have booked, the San Marino will/should also notify me.

*If you have been before and can remember the unit you were in last time, that would help when booking.

In the spirit of anticipation that will inevitably follow in subsequent posts as the date draws near, let us be absolutely clear that there are:
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin (1706-90)

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending to much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

"Motorcycling is not inherently dangerous. It is, however, EXTREMELY unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence and stupidity!" - Anonymous

Just to clarify cause I must be tired, where is the first meeting point on Friday for the riders brief? Paparoa?

I think it's the Caltex Dairy Flat? I am sure an update will be incoming!

I am already thinking about what I will need to pack...

I still need to confirm I won't have the kids and that I can get the time off work. I also have to think about how the hell I am going to carry stuff on my new bike...

Haha I am, so to speak, but I have a few projects on and have taken a little time off recently. Poor form to not finish the projects and keep f*cking off to do motorbike stuff all the time LOL

I want to do the optional Cape trip, but a bit over 100km each way from the closest petrol station I can find on the map (Awanui)? I'd be close to fumes when I got back...

And I might be in recovery mode anyway I could always go for a solo trip to Kerikeri to see my Dad... (It'd be the polite thing to do).

    I don't understand that?
We are all going to the Cape, the optional part is the beach run for those that want to do that on the way to the Cape on the Saturday.

''As usual I'll wander down and meet everyone at Whangarei. And if needed the usual far north breakdown facilities will be available. I only say this because by saying that they are available no one then needs to use them. Which is what we all want. Maha, if you want some one to take a group up or down 90 mile beach (depends on the tides for which is best) then I am available for that. Waitiki Landing has been rebuilt and so gas is now available again up there. It's noy cheap gas but definitely beats walking.''

I hate to be a pain but I can't read the white writing...
