    SJ50QT issues?

    Anyone had expierence with these?

My one will idle, but will rev with no load just. But will die with load. Plently of spark.
Feels like its just starving for fuel.

Have tried blocking the vacuum and running the fuel straight into the carb. Float valve works, and seems to be clear when blowing air through it?

Any ideas? Might pull the engine out tonight and has another looksie.

Have you checked for air leaks and tuned the air/fuel screw? I had this same model scooter with the same problem but sold it before it got fixed

Thanks for your reply. Doubt the air/fuel screw will effect this problem as much, but will check it.

Ill take the swingarm out when i get a moment spare and check it over for leaks and try getting it running outta of the bike.

Alright, but yeah I'd be checking for air leaks (with soapy water is an easy way) and then the carb, if you haven't checked it yet make sure the main jet isn't threaded. then rollers and clutch could be suspect (chain tension too?). last resort, compression test

I had similar issues with my AY50 Suzuki. I checked spark plug, ignition coil, carb jets, fuel/air screws and manifold for leaks, but it solved nothing. Scoot would idle, rev out on the stand, but as soon as I tried riding down road, it would bog and splutter.
I admitted defeat and got the shop to diagnose the faulty running, it turned out the catalytic coverter inside the exhaust had collapsed and was restricting exhaust flow. They removed it, opened up pipe a bit and the scoot now goes like it should again, albeit a bit noisier. Not such a bad thing right
