    Cool alright...

Thems proper rally cars - none of this e-tronic stuff keeping the car on the road, just the skill of the driver or not...

Love the way that big Merc was thrown around...

I offer rides to the brave for people that are into this kinda thing. It's pretty cheap to get into.

That prelude is a scarily quick car, even scarier now it's RWD and can get traction.

Can I just say "GET YOUR BLOODY THUMBS OUT" keep em outside the wheel, other than that, not bad. You would love a couple of the hillclimbs down this way, great days out.

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

Yeah I know, didn't have my gloves either. That car it's hard not to thumb it because I'd so often have to let go with one hand and rip the handbrake; on a tight course it's terrible. It has no power steering and being fwd back then I found it hard to pull the lock I need any other way. It's gotton off line before and broken ribs against the side of the seat, kinda damned if you do damned if you dont. If I could get a quick power rack I'd be better off, however I can use 2 hands now; just pop it up on the clutch.

That brings back memories, tapped oot through Kielder Forest on the RAC / Mintex rally, middle of the night & rocks the size of a fist trying to hammer their way into the car. I used to navigate for me Dad & he was course car a couple of times. Epic days.

Any news on the homicidal hairdresser?

Back in the day before GPS, one of the better jobs I had was control of aerial top dressing in Kaiangaroa forest.

The idea was we would put up a cluster of hydrogen balloons at the corner of each block that was supposed to get the Super.

We had to be quick - those planes are expensive to keep waiting.

We had rented Ford Escorts, with the gas cylinder strapped across the back seat, the roads were closed and we told to "go for it" :wahoo:

Nice! The guy I used to call on when I worked for SULCO was in Warkworth. Then there was the guy at Maungawhai who is well known for his Lotus Cortina's.
