Cool alright...
Thems proper rally cars - none of this e-tronic stuff keeping the car on the road, just the skill of the driveror not...
Love the way that big Merc was thrown around...

I offer rides to the brave for people that are into this kinda thing. It's pretty cheap to get into.
That prelude is a scarily quick car, even scarier now it's RWD and can get traction.
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
Yeah I know, didn't have my gloves either. That car it's hard not to thumb it because I'd so often have to let go with one hand and rip the handbrake; on a tight course it's terrible. It has no power steering and being fwd back then I found it hard to pull the lock I need any other way. It's gotton off line before and broken ribs against the side of the seat, kinda damned if you do damned if you dont. If I could get a quick power rack I'd be better off, however I can use 2 hands now; just pop it up on the clutch.
That brings back memories, tapped oot through Kielder Forest on the RAC / Mintex rally, middle of the night & rocks the size of a fist trying to hammer their way into the car. I used to navigate for me Dad & he was course car a couple of times. Epic days.
Any news on the homicidal hairdresser?
Manopausal.
Back in the day before GPS, one of the better jobs I had was control of aerial top dressing in Kaiangaroa forest.
The idea was we would put up a cluster of hydrogen balloons at the corner of each block that was supposed to get the Super.
We had to be quick - those planes are expensive to keep waiting.
We had rented Ford Escorts, with the gas cylinder strapped across the back seat, the roads were closed and we told to "go for it" :wahoo:

.
Got 10 I work on for a chap. One rally car (RS2000, historic spec, placed 4th in class at Wairarapa this weekend and 4th over all in class for this years NZRC) one track car (another RS2000, Grp1 spec motor with IDAs) 7 road going cars, one having a hot pinto, another with a "hot" kent xflow and one Mk1 Lotus Twink Escort.
I like Escorts.
