Mom in hospital with viral meningitis

Anne has had the worst headache in years which started on Friday. Today we went to Red Beach Medical centre and they sent us down to North Shore Hospital for a head scan
CT was done as were blood samples, came back all clear. They wanted to a Lumbar Puncture, there was no way I was sticking around while they did that but it had to be done just to rule out everything that they suspected.
The spinal fluid showed she has Viral Meningitis, not the kind that will kill you, but a stay in hospital to sort it all out. They are keeping her till the headache goes.

I have just got home after leaving this morning just after 10am, long long day for us both, I best get some sleep as I have work tomorrow.
Already got a text as to what to bring on my next visit...I might need the van!

I hope she comes right as soon as. . Same thing down here with a local chap, went to the doc with a migraine, sent home, a day later in hospital Meningitis.

Rotten thing to happen but the outcome sounds great!
Old flatmate of mine had something similar but was fatal within 24hrs.

Sounds like you've done all the right things, meningitis is not something to be taken lightly, if in doubt get checked out as soon as you can (has affected my family too).
