    Newbish in Welly (ChrisLB)

    Hi guys,

Riding a KLR650 and occasionally a Hyosung comet 250 in Welly. Going to ride my restricted shortly (hopefully), but really enjoying riding, especially the sense of camaraderie that you get from other bikers on the road. Great change from being "that guy in the big black 4wd" when I'm in my Terrano!

Done a bit of work to both bikes myself (I work as an engineer (ok, software, but same mentality, kinda), and have historically always done all my work to trucks, cars, etc). So far, replaced shock on the comet, and fitted it with swept back sports style handles (I normally have a laid forward stance on that bike!). On the KLR I made and fitted my own rack on the back from some spare ally I had in the workshop... Really proud of that, came out really well, and only took about 2 hours and 4 beers to make!

    Cheers,

    Chris
