It must be nice to know that, no matter what happens, everyone else sucks when compared to you.
I'd like the thing to win just so they lose the 4 litres and the other handouts !!!
Dovi is making Crutchless look less than 'works' material. Good in tech3 but he flapped when with them as well.
He's getting slagged a bit on the pommy site 'Crash' for talking instead of riding.

If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
Agree 100% infact it drives me crazy those conditions really suited soft tyres and fat fueling.
on the day
Best rider MM
Moto GP said it was a masterclass by MM and it was he simply out rode everyone on the day.
Climbing on the camera stand and shaking the camera mans hand smacks of Rossi's fun antics.
To think I really disliked the kid in Moto2 but just shows how a kid can learn and mature into a great rider on and off the track.
Although the test will be to see how he handles a patch like JL is having?
Second best rider VR
They have to take gambles, as nobody can simply out ride the MM/Honda combination and he gambled.
But still completely out rode his team mate to start from pit lane and finish 5th when JL finished 13th.
Dovi rode well but the advantages negate his efforts imho. Espargaro he rode bloody well to.
All in all the best rider won is bike exchanges were spot on! Where Edwards looked like he was taken a walk in the park?
MM skill level has got them all fucked especially JL, VR has age as an excuse, DP is used to coming second.
Actually really beginning to think MM can win them all (if he stays on) its not as if he's up against a dull patch in the opposition they are all really good riders.
Quite liking watching him simply take them all apart. You gotta respect what hes doing even if your a hater.

From the E mails i got, most would rather put Assen behind them and look forward to the German.
Yes I'd prefer one class or rather less handicaping. The first few laps are hectic and risky for the Works teams, until everyone settles.
MM just too good and for me, nice to see Vale do so well from pitlane. Shame cos I thought Assen his big chance to turn the tables on the "Joker".
It seems MM could do the whole session unbeaten.

I was well disappointed by Aleix's effort. After having got pole he got caned at the start and never really recovered. If anything can shake MM it's being beaten by someone other than VR, JL or DP
"It's hard to keep an open mind, when so many people are trying to put things in it"
EsA only got pole because of the weather. He got in one quick lap before the rain came down. Most everybody else was riding around carefully wondering how safe it was. Do the MotoGP guys get a watch like the WSB dudes?
This from David Emmett:
"Seeing West succeed in Assen is a salutary warning of how an exceptionally talented rider can go wrong. West jumped from series to series, from class to class, often ending up in third rate teams. On the right bike he was outstanding, as he showed briefly in World Supersport on the Yamaha. All too often, however, he has ended up on the wrong bike, and in the wrong company."
I thought West was stupid walking out on his WSS Yamaha contract when he was winning races. Then he took sponsorship from a Mickey Mouse helmet manufacturer and when it rained he discovered that the thing fogged up totally and he couldn't see. Last year though he was reportedly riding unpaid, living in a sleepout at his girlfriend's parents house in Italy, sleeping on a sofa. I was pleased to see him win and wish him well but I hope his decision making has improved - and that he is actually getting paid.
There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop

Love that pic of MM's bike leap. What technique, style and all round ground breaking way to swap bikes faster than.. well, anyone! The other teams bosses should be ordering compulsory training for a week to learn the MM manoeuvre, not to be confused with the Bridgeman manoeuvre.
Loved the swimming across the finish line. Finally the poor depressed unemployed Spanish have something to be proud of.
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
Exactly MD, love the way the boy tries stuff like changing bikes during the qualifying, leaping from one to the other coz putting a foot on the ground is just so last year etc etc. He loves dirt bikes too, he really is the whole package.
Cheers

Wouldn't it be bloody dramatic if they didn't take JL??
He couldn't ride the Ducati I reckon, but Suzuki??

Yamaha and Valentino Rossi set to continue with two-year contract extension
Rossi set to continue with Yamaha for two more years
Wednesday, 2 July 2014
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd is delighted to announce that it has signed a new two‐year agreement with Valentino Rossi. The nine-time world champion will continue to race with Movistar Yamaha MotoGP™ for the 2015 and 2016 MotoGP™ World Championship seasons.
The announcement comes midway through an excellent season for the MotoGP™ veteran. Rossi currently sits in second in the standings having taken four second place finishes and a total of five podiums from eight races so far this year.
Lin Jarvis
“I am very happy that we have concluded the agreement with Valentino for 2015 and 2016. Since his return to Yamaha in 2013 it’s been a very positive experience for everybody involved. After two difficult years ‘away from home’ Valentino returned last year, not only to us but also to his beloved YZR‐M1. Fans of racing across the world were happy to see him rediscover his competitive performance and witness him take pleasure in riding and having fun again on two wheels. The ‘fun factor’ is crucial to Valentino to get results – in fact when he first joined us in 2004 one of the most important motivations for his move to Yamaha was his desire to create an environment where he could enjoy racing. His enjoyment is obvious to all who meet him at the MotoGP™ events or who see him race on TV and is reflected in his excellent race results this year where he is currently in second position in the World Championship. We look forward to the next two and a half years together and it is our intention that Valentino will remain with Yamaha until the end of his sporting career and beyond.”

“I am very happy to announce that I have signed a new contract with Yamaha to continue together in MotoGP™ for the next two years. I am very proud of this announcement. It’s very important to me because I really enjoy working with my crew and all the guys from the team, both the Japanese and European members that have been with me almost my entire career. It’s great because this was my target; I wanted to continue, I am feeling good and I’m motivated to keep giving my best. I am very happy that I can keep riding my YZR‐M1, that has been my love for so many years and will still be my love this year and the following two seasons. A big ‘Thank You’ to everybody, I will try to keep giving the maximum to arrive in front and make good races. Enjoy!”
