That was the origional caption, there was a question about that too but I didn't see the answer. If, in fact, he was talking about his shoulder Rossi could be expected to be a bit sympathetic since he basically lost a season to a shoulder injury suffered in MX training.

Shoulder injuries have ended careers, like f'rinstance Ben Spies.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.

The MotoGP rumour mill has been in overdrive. The hottest rumour being that Honda are trying to get Jeremy Burgess to head Jack Miller's pit crew in MotoGP. Rossi says this would be a brilliant move for Miller as Burgess could pass on a wealth of information. This rumour was so hot that Honda have issued a formal denial.

Colin Edwards commented that the more power Miller has, the more he will be able to show his talent.

There will be no changes to Rossi's pit crew. Rossi's goal is to finish second in the championship but he wants to win a race before the end of the season.

There was another hot rumour that Lorenzo's crew chief was off to Suzuki. That was also denied and a statement issued that the pit crew will stay the same as this year.

So many teams are switching to Kalex that Suter are considering withdrawing from racing. It's not *that* long since Marquez was winning on a Suter. This will leave Moto2 as a class with one engine, and with a couple of exceptions, a single frame. A long way short of the hopes that were held for the class when it originated.
It was hoped that all sorts of weird and wonderful steering and suspension solutions would appear but no, the team managers don't like "different".

I hope I have all that right, it can be tricky reading that stuff when you wake up at three or four in the morning.

Marquez was the only one winning on a Suter which caused other teams to wonder if he was cheating . Of course as soon as he stepped aboard the RCV it all became clear - the guy is freakishly fast.

I thought the Brough Superior/Taylormade carbon fibre monocoque that raced in the British GP (Moto2 class) was a very interesting concept (radiator under the seat - where have we seen that before?). I'd like to see that concept developed to its full potential. All they wanted to do was put the bike under race conditions and it at least finished, so they were sort of happy.

Feature on the bike is here.

    Taylormade is here.

Well nothing really achieved by just finishing man as the engine is the same spec and condition as all others out there. The only thing they proved was there chassis parts do not brake! And great for that I say

At least they are trying something different - this class was meant to foster innovation but what we have is, in effect, a spec chassis and a spec engine. It would have been great to see half a dozen different concepts racing.

And the worst thing is that Moto2 has become, in the large part, boring to watch. Pity because it had promise.

Very few sponsors will risk money on unproven concepts. There have been a few exceptions but there don't seem to be any that want to take the risk these days.

I thought it would've done better than it did because they've been racing and developing the thing quite intensely for the last couple of years, or at least I thought they had been. Reading through the problems they had at Silverstone made me wonder if they'd actually tested a complete bike.

I'd love to see something like the Brough Superior do well, if only to make things more interesting from a technology point of view.

I didn't say anything about success, just that they wanted to test the concept and they were "sort of happy" with the result.

As for Moto2 I have little interest in people racing bikes that are no-names - okay Honda engines, but who goes to the shop to drool over a Kalex or a Suter. A stupid concept in my view, Dorna should have kept the manufacturers properly interested and had them racing bikes in their own name.
    Cheers

Yes. Well, that's because Dorna are fuckwits, Merv, and are the last possible group of people you would want governing the future of the sport.
