A lot of people used to slag him off cause he won with Honda but i read the other day when he trialed with Yamaha first he actually broke the lap record at the iwatta (or whatever Yamaha test circuit was called) on his first test. i should be noted that rainey and Lawson would i guess likely to have done a few laps there I guess...............

Like any of those fucking freaks. The cunt would've won on any brand. Always makes me laff when peeps wank on about who rides what. MM would've won the title last year if he was on a Yamaha. Poss not the Ducati but...

Mick had the doors at Yamaha wide open to him in the beggining. He raced for the top Yamaha dealer in Tokyo called " SuperAngel" Morinaga San managed by Kenji Seki, the same team A Stroud and Simon Crafer raced for over there and here one year. Mick could have signed for any of the factory teams.

Scott Micks brother also raced for SuperAngel, it was bloody hard to tell the diff between him and mick on a bike with there Doohan Riding style, identicall body style

A few cringe moments in that vid. Especially the one about the hole in his ankle

I've heard stories that he was a bit of a legend but didn't know it was to that extent. There's not many racers that have earned what they have from both talent and big, big, BIG fucken gonads! I don't think many people deserve the 'legend' title but that dude...10x over.

One thing the vid didn't cover was just how hard he trained on his fitness, he was a allegedly total fanatic on fitness training.
