Edwards has announced he will retire at the end of 2014. It's a bit of a shame as I'm a fan of his but it's been a long time coming

Edwards has said that he wants to spend more time with his family, but he also said that his inability to get his bike performing played a large part in the timing of the announcement. His family were in attendance at the press conference it being on his back door step as it were.

I'm still confused as to what is going on with the FTR Forward Racing team. Last outing when EsA crashed both of his bikes in qualifying, the comment was made that despite his crew having time to repair both bikes, he only had one for race day. The thought was that there may be a strictly limited number of the M1 frames available to the FTR team.

It would be interesting to know the whole story whenever it comes out.

It did come out mate, they borrowed a lot of gear of Collins spare bike which EsA thanked him for

I used to enjoy the reality that Crutchlow brought to Moto GP, but now he is just treading a fine line between that and being labelled another whining pom... He has cut his own lunch in relation to the Ducati, what was he expecting?

"The factories have sophisticated pumps and manifolds for getting every last ounce of fuel out of their tanks, but that technology has stayed with the factories. The Forward Racing tank appears to need at least two liters in the tank just to be safe."
Does this mean the RCV1000R really only has 20 litres available to be used??

Honda screwed up big time Trev and under built the litre quantity they are allowed to run on the open bikes for some dam reason and I think they have 20.2 liters of space availlable only

Edwards was always far too critical of the bike to go to Ducati.

Shaun I heard it was 23.00 Litres

Nice heads up, didn't see that one. So glad I've got a hard drive recorder with loads of space now.
    Cheers.
