Hey, kids! Captain Hero here with Getting Laid Tip 213 - The Backrub Buddy!
Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
...always just been a plain old rocker, me...and following fashions is for girls...although in 1976 my younger bro had to fly off the Liverpool and pick up the NZ Pacific, 44,000 tons of new container vessel and at the time one of the biggest on the high seas...after Liverpool they got stuck in Tilbury, (London) waiting on cargo and shit...he arrived back in Lyttelton with a new name...'Syd' and tapes of the Sex Pistols and all the other nutters that I cant remember...he also had the tee shirts and four pairs of Doc Martins and black leather bombers and all of a sudden we were at the pointy end of Chch punk shit...I even went as far as dyeing my ginga locks blue with bright red edges...I got fucked off with it within a few weeks and reverted to being a plain ol' rocker...as I still am...I organised the bands for the British Hotel back then...gave the Anddroids some of their first gigs along with the Vauxhalls and the Vacuum Blue Ladder Band (later shortened to the Vacuums), the Gordons a little later...there were others but my brain is starting to hurt trying to remember...I did have some real Chch punk mates who still believed in good old cactus juice and it always made for hot punk nights and noisy gigs in other halls around Lyttelton...I still think Jean Jacques Brunel is/was a rocker more than a punk rocker...blurry edges surround that stuff...as mentioned the music was one part of the feeling and some of the stuff I still think fantastic and still alive...but I realised back then, I weren't no punk...love 'em all the same...
I am so un-punk that I have never heard of 90% of the bands mentioned so far...
A mate had the album Never Mind The Bollocks and one or two noise collaborations on it were ok.
Remember this ???? Rock and Roll - Not Punk .. but hey ...

...my son got me tickets to Black Sabbath in Melbourne earlier in the year...he also got given some tickets to the TOOl concert staging two nights before the big sabbath night...I got smashed into my seat from every direction and the visuals were so fucking intense...one of the best experiences I've had...set me up real well for being a headbangin rocker two nights later...the reports on the Sabbath concert were a bit scathing of crowd in the pit being a bit subdued apart from a small group of the real McCoy rockers...I was the instigator and central pivot of that bunch...Ozzy shared a bucket of his water with us...good shit that rock'n'roll...got shouted a few beers at a venue up the road, after the show, by old cunts like me...'for flying the flag'...added a few months to my life, after GST, I reckon...
That it is - but not exactly as fast as the topic being discussed
But since we are on thread hijacking............what the fuck happened to Silverchair? That band had some serious headbanging potential in their earlier years and ended up moaning hymns from the book of joe.
