Expansion chamber fa50, anyone got one or got plans for one?

    Hi there
I would love to make my fa50 go a bit faster.
Can anyone help me with expansion chamber design?
I am keen to make one as a good way to learn to weld etc

I made an exhaust for my FA50 from a Seagull outboard exhaust - stainless bling. I bet it made more HP than a Seagull....maybe even more than a seagull too.

Ride it off road, then it will seem too fast.

Lemming run used to be held out Cape Palliacer, good times. Felt turbo charged once you took the gear off. It needed a squirt of brake clean (cheaper than engine start) to start it from cold (Choke a bit poked) but I gave it to a mates kids & it was still going quite some years later. Might still survive to this day. Heck that was 12yrs ago.

While I'm feeling sentimental here's the grannies route to the rally involving stone steps, a stream crossing & these little bogs. Here's a couple of chicks traversing them with a GSX750 & FJ11. Braver than I was & they were all ov about 5' not much more. It was called the grannies route as the other way was sand dunes.

Also my RG50 in Tour mode at the Cold Kiwi (which it attended 6 times).

Made one decades back for a Puch 50cc. Used car door panel for the metal and a 2 stroke tuning book for the dimensions. Vastly improved the performance. The muffler was based on a baked bean can with a perf core and packed with baffling!

Flat black paint hides a lot! PS I was only 16-17ish.

The web will provide chamber specs no doubt.
