    Coastal Fasteners in Abel Smith st.

    they both ride bikes and wont care if it takes a while to find odd sizes.

    Best prices on small quantity purchases also.

    [QUOTE=Phleep;
    I have just checked the valve clearance today and found the exhaust valve/cam gaps were consistently 0.001 inches under the minimum 0.008. I have assumed it deliberate for the moment due to the fact they were all identical gaps and the effort of not ignoring it is quite high - there may be some unknown modification since this bike has done 60k which is plenty of distance for someone to do something. Intakes are all good though.

    Phleep, it's not uncommon for clearances to close up over time.
    (keeps them nice and quiet tho huh ?) .001" ain't much to worry about, like it's not going to burn valves at that.

    Thanks for those responses - very reassuring.

    I work near the railway station so it will be a bit of a trek to Abel Smith Street but I'll catch a bus or something once I have established exactly what bolts I require.

    I sold my car to fund this project so am a little limited on travel choices.
