good luck Tyler and others riding abroad, Nick Cole does daytona the same weekend after a couple of wins in the states the weekend just gone
Hi all
Wow ! Lots of points incentive happening, thanks so much
Tyler and the other wildcards had there FIM briefing today, got the NZ flag and numbers on the bike. The bike he is racing is one that has only done one or two rounds. Havent looked at any setup yet apart from some minor adjustments that need to be done on gear lever position. Cant adjust anything till tomorrow. Need to see how much sag etc it has got. At the start of the season there was no going near the bikes on Thursday, bit more relaxed now by the look of it, may have something to do with some very beaten up bikes needed repairs. Cant fit any new parts till Friday though
EJC free practice is Friday 4:30 local time .
Will post updates tomorrow
Cheers
Jase

Almost think your waiting mate
Just got back to the Hotel, had a pretty average day, need to get the rear preload right, Have got the shock out its getting sorted in the morning. Its got to be done by there suspension guy that's busier than 4 Robert Taylers at nationals
Lots of learning to be done on a very fasy sweeping circuit, He could hang on to the packs till the rear started squatting and pushing wide in corners and then loses out in top speed with having no draught. In the last few laps we got as much preload as possible and Paul one of the the kiwi EJC mechanics helped me time Ty to re enter the track with a group and went two seconds quicker, should have done it earlier in the session. Its got a remote preload adjuster and you have to take the spring off to turn the preload adjuster nuts
Spent a hour getting a car park at the hotel, I payed for the week parking in there underground dungeon carpark and they have booked my park to someone else, went round the block many times and are parked about 400mtrs away from the Hotel, scary narrow cobblestone streets, and insurance does not cover side mirror or windscreens, lots of mirrors get destroyed here

best of luck to Tyler!!!!
Taking it to the track thanks to: KIWIBIKE INSURANCE & PIRELLI TYRES, EXPERIENCE MOTORCYCLES, EBC Brakes, SUPERSPROX Sprockets, TSUBAKI Chains, RST Leathers, REPSOL Oils, FutureGrafix, Autolink
We are finally back home, got back to nz late Wensday, stayed at Henk and Michelles for a couple of days (thanks heaps), picked up Pete Lodges ES2 Norton and headed to the Barry Sheene. EJC was hard work, not much setup time and jumping in at the end of the season. Suspension and draughting is very important in EJC, everyone is fast, as can be seen by the quilifing times. Tyler will do a race report for the EJC and Sheene over the next week or so. Bit of catching up to do with school first
Cheers Jase
