and the Ken Rockwell reviews are very useful, he tests by using the gear like actual people do, the obsession with test cards in the studio is a bit removed from reality unless you are a professional and even then.....

what I want to know is will the gear work for me? I think he answers that in a more pragmatic manner than most.

I was looking at some why dangle glass that was three times as much as the 28-300 Nikor lens I did buy.

Bloody good lens for what it does, i.e. general purpose, everyday-carry megazoom lens.

yep just go into the digital age after replacing my aging canon film camera love the macro lenses you can now get, taken with a tamron 18-200 macro.
