    New exhaust new filter?

Hey guys, I am getting an Akrapovic full system put on my Duke 390. Should I be looking at a new high flow air filter also? Is it worth it or not?

if youre forking out a grand or two anyway, whats an extra 100 or so for a decent filter?

A lot of bikes respond well to a higher flow air filter, and doing it at the same time as the exhaust is a good idea as you only have to re-jet it once. Other bikes are pretty good as is, so it's always a good idea to see what others with your model bike have done.

Ever wondered why a pipe causes a Rich mixture & a air cleaner causes a Lean mixture ?

pipes / air cleaner dueing the valve over lap period...

just put a pipe on.... exhaust gasses exscape easyer which increases
the intake vacume.... If the intake side can't flow enough air the vacume
increases , so sucks fuel instead.... Rich mixture...

just a hi flow air filter..... more air entering the intake track but has no
where to go....lowers the vacume so less fuel is being sucked..... lean mixture...

Do both......... unless it is enjected.... Then the ECU will take care of the imbalance...
