    washers to raise needles

    I'm after some washers to raise the needles in my carbs, don't seem to be able to buy ones of any quality. Can anyone in the auckland area help out out ??
    Supposed to be
    5.8 mm o.d.
    2.5 mm i.d
    and 1 and 1.5 mm thick

    You could try a wrecker like Atomic on Barrys Point Rd. Couple of times I've grabbed awkward/hard to find/unusual little bibs and bobs from them like that. Usually means you get handed a couple of ice cream containers of nuts and washers and trawl through them until you find what you need (if you're lucky enough)

    I found some in our engineering section at work - they're from a printer.
    I've got some at home - PM me.
    Or if you want to buy some, the small nuts'n'bolts they sell at Jaycar for electronics (securing PCBs or summat) have washers the right size.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.


    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    I use electrical terminals - use a small one and just cut off the wire tab,you are left with a nice small thin washer.

    HEY IF YOU NEED THE ONES TO DO A SET OF C1 OR C2 CARBS I HAVE SOME , HERES A PIC . YOU CAN HAVE THEM FOR FREE.THESE ARE THE EXACT ONES I USED TO GIVE ME A STAGGERING 12 HP GAIN IN THE MIDRANGE AND 6 HP UP TOP ON A STOCK BIKE , I TOOK THEM OUT WHEN I GOT A SPECIAL 4/1 EXHAUST FOR RACING , I WENT TO A 158 MAIN FOR THAT SO THE JETS IN THE PICK ARE 155 NO GOOD FOR YOU UNLESS YOUR NEEDLES SAWED YOURS TO BITS

    Tamiya do a pack of shims in something like .1mm steps/10 of each
    $12 the mode shop in great north rd grey lynn have them
