I got my jacket altered in the leather repair shop in the Wellington train station. They did a great job and didn't charge a lot.

You could try PMing Ratti, she does gear repairs and is Lower Hutt based.

+1 for the dudes at Wellington Railway Station. They did a great clean-up job on my Teknic jacket after my wee off three years ago. The leatherwork ended up as good as new, apart from a partially missing Teknic logo. And they also put some decent pocket liners into my Qmoto jacket.

Porirua folks have put zips in both my leather jacket and Mrs Bergs Teknics cordura jacket. Very recommended

Te Railway place have replaced velcro and zips in textile jackets over the years for me, as well as wrist strap velcro replacement for gloves textile and leather both.
