I had a dodgy prawn korma a couple of weeks ago. Thought I was dying at 2 am. Very explosive and colourful.

Given the amount of distressing carnage we see every year. Young lives ruined, havoc and mayhem to wild life etc I'd suggest banning dogs and cats to be a vastly more sensible way of handling the situation...

Fun.... We don't have kids at home any more so we don't do fireworks anymore but always enjoyed it when they were young uns. Get together with family for a laugh and a few fireworks.

Its just at the wrong time of year - should be in the middle of winter....

Parents and kids could have just as much fun going along to a public fireworks display without any of the negative impact of letting off fireworks in their neighborhood.

Hey, if you want to campaign for more responsible backyard use of fireworks in order to stop them being banned go for your life.

Actually, they were trying to assassinate a protestant King in order to replace him with a Catholic monarch.

Not really anything to do with Parliament.

    You may well know that.....

The majority on here wouldn't have a fucking clue what Guy Fawkes 'celebrations' are actually celebrating though.

(And you need some work on your "witty repartee".)

Ever wondered how a lot of NZ farm land was cleared of stumps, and how the drains were formed in a lot of the Swamps.holes dug in rocks for posts etc.
Our local polytechnic runs a very popular explosive course.
I said to a lady who does the course administration i would like to do it but i don't actually need it for my work anymore or anything.I just think it sounds like fun.
She said don't worry nearly all the people go on course say the the same "they want to learn how to blow shit up cause, its fun"
