    Painting the hall doors?

Dang nab it... Theres like 14 freakin doors...

So whats the best way to paint them? Take em all off and spray them in the garage? (or outside if its nice). If so - use what?

    This?

Paying someone else to do it works fairly well for me

having just sprayed an entire 2 storey 200 odd square house, i can safely say, fuck that.

according to bunnings hos, the wagners get returned often. an ozito for twice the price (still chine$e shit afaik) (~500) managed to chuck some 60 litres on everything in about 6-8 hours.
the masking took some 4 days.

the machine itself did the trick, felt solid, no silly noises, no hoses falling off etc. (managed to kill an ozito orbital - shat the bearings with a mere 200 square house.) it surged a lot when the pressure was on "roller" setting, but didn't use any less paint than on "low spray"

TBH, i'd have been happier using my airgun. the paint (ppg) was bouncy as shit and went on heavy (but nice) the british paints (wet area) went on a lot nicer, which will be closer to what you would have on a door. (semi-gloss/ hard wearing) so if you do get an airless (of any variety) go with british paints.

but if you have an airgun in the garage, get happy with that. if you can put a good finish on with it, there's no advantage to getting an airless.

PLUS, that looks like a siphon feed airless, so your paint volume is only 1lt/time, probably fine for doors but useless for anything else. and it's all in one, so probably quite weighty to swing.

also dont skimp on the breathing gear. low voc is only low by comparison, get at least a disposable carbon paint/vapour face mask (20$?) not the shitty white DUST masks, but if you're intending to do a bit m0ar, get a proper cartridge type respirator.

I prefer using a roller for the walls and brushes for joinery.

I do prefer a sprayed finish for doors.

Dont do them outside, no matter how calm the day is, they will get all sorts of shit sticking to them. Murphys a prick.
