    I call bullshit!

I question whether or not bike boots would have made any difference.

The de-gloving is too clean a line, to be caused by dragging on the road.

Look at the damage to the third and fourth metatarsal bones too, that's all impact.

The missing toe bones (phalanges I have just learned through google) could be explained by abrasive action, but I think the other injuries suggest it not to be the case.

To sum up, just more scaremongering. Jog on.

Bit rough to disrespect athletes like that. You're looking at the World Apple Bobbing champion (83' to 88') there. Only stopped competing due to an unfortunate hairspray and open flame fondue incident.

Can you please show me where it says it is caused by dragging on the road or abrasion?

All it states is the guy was wearing tennis shoes when he crashed and I say yes proper boots would have made a difference.

    Have a good run

How about you show me where I said anyone did mention it was caused by abrasion?

The picture is doing the rounds of face book, and I reckon it's a crock of shit. There's no corresponding link to anything about the accident to back it up.

It's just as likely that some do gooder fag that rides, saw a gross picture and added a tag line of their own imagining.

You seem to take what I have assumed and commented on, to mean I am refuting a statement or opinion. That was a mistake.
