Announce Got married, selling my '05 CB900 Hornet

End of an era! Selling because it frightens my wife. This bike has mostly been used as a commuter, although I've put a few decent tours on it and plenty of day trips. Never had any problems at all! 68,601km on the clock. Keys are chipped, I have two.

It's warranted until February '14, and the registration expires on the 12th Jan.

Recently serviced (~600km ago) and got a new battery and two new tyres (Shinko 005 Advance). Also has a pack rack (you can have my pack), crash bungs and Oxford HotGrips (just replaced the controller). Bike is fully stock except the front indicators, which I was told are from a CBR600.

Condition is generally good with about as much wear and tear (scratches, chips, rust spots etc.) as you'd expect on a bike of this age. The only notable defect is a broken hazard light switch (bought it that way years ago and never bothered to get it fixed).

Bike is in Paraparaumu, to arrange a viewing contact me here, or on luke.gee@gmail.com, or on 021 847 277.

Good luck with the sale. Too bad wife didn't know you had a bike before you got married.

Are you downsizing to a smaller bike or throwing in the towel altogether?

I understand how it is. I got told to buy a bigger more sensible bike with a more comfortable seat and the added features like traction control and abs. Then I got asked to ensure we had room for luggage if needed. We all make sacrifices when we get married.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.

That would be a lot less trouble in the long run

Yep, shame it's taken this long to figure out she doesn't respect what makes you happy.

Did she give you a key to the box she has your nuts in?

Thanks! We actually met because of a crash I had on my learner bike years ago

Altogether, I'm afraid... for now. I'll be back eventually!

April! I spent seven years getting that far though, unlikely to quit at this stage

Be serious; no-one on KB would buy a wife that isn't into bikes

Goes both ways. My first wife was like that.

My current girl tells me to go riding.
