Sadly I can confirm the stator died on my bike - like Dutchee said, rode into the pits after Qualifying and would not start again. Borrowed Brian's Multi-meter and mike did his motorcycle mechanic thing to find the stator kaput.

Great weekend regardless though - took 2 seconds off my previous best time and had a great time catching up with people and meeting some new bods as well. Cheers to all the AK crew for making it happen ( and to Henk for making sure I missed out on points from two races not three )

Great fun as usual. Many thanks to Auckland crowd for putting this on, with Steve directing traffic.

Got some terrible footage of the first B-Grade race, water got in front of the lens and made it look like the race was run in low mist! Watchable, but I don't think I will post it unless someone gets excited enough to ask...

My other footage is with Bert, and hope it is a bit more presentable, should be two A-Grade races from the Grandstand with luck.

Looking forward to Taumauranui, hopefully the weather will play ball, expect to bring the family to that one.

Big thumbs up to all concerned.

Buying a 4T, is a waste of time,

I brought a 4 stroke and feed it to my 2T but it didn't make it any faster at all ....

And the Tokoroa Kart Club for the continued support and access to the facility.

Another great event; this series is so much fun on and off the track.

On the racing side of things, personally I had a great day battling it out with Chris C at the back end of a grade; a little bit of paint swapping and tire rubbing made for a great day (one a piece).
Really good after sorting out battery issues (and hour finding my contact lens in the long grass)'on Saturday.
Great racing Bert, had great fun battling it out even if it was for last? place in A grade I definitely learnt a few things!
Solid video Richban, I'll put up some photos the old man took soon

I did suggest that there was a possible bad joint or something in the battery as I walked round, and then was having a chat to Dave and said how I was finally starting to trust my instincts.

Yip. You were right on the money.
I just couldn't believe it was the brand new battery that was the issue.

Whole lot more fun not chasing two stroke issues on race day (and returning home with a broken bike)..
Able to actually concentrate on racing produced ~ 4 second improvement from last year.
So quite happy with that (even though I got lapped by the front runners in A grade).

NZ North Island Bucket Championship Rnd 1 Race 1

Took a while to figure out how the new camera works (and how to convert to a smaller file; hillbillie bandwidth issues)...

    Here's race one:

I'll load up race two over night.

Glad that came out well, also pleased that the two chicks working on the Kiwibiker maintenance overnight got the forum going again too...
