    Hi Everyone,
I did post an intro on the "Angels" thread, but will put it up here too...

My profile has the basics in it but to be repetitive, I was born in 1942, live in Featherston and ride a 1988 CBR600.
I have been a biker on and off since 1962; the "off" bits being because of family stuff (kids etc.). Now that I have no dependents and can do what I please with my remaining days, I have acquired the CBR which is a lot of fun, so I am back on the scene as of a week ago.
I intend rejoining my old Ulysses chapter (Masterton) to which I belonged when I had my last bike (a '92 Katana 400) about 10 years ago. Had to sell it (medical expenses!), but now have the Honda.
It needed some work (tyres and a bit of work on the plastic mostly), but I have done that and it seems to run well so far..... woo hoo! (honestly officer... I was just testing it prior to taking it for a warrant.... really..... 190? really? Well it seems it's ready then... ).
Seriously, it does go well and is now 'legal' so I am really looking forward to the rest of the summer.
Hope to meet y'all on here in due course.

    Cheers,
    Kathryn

1942 had its ups and downs (like bombs falling on my town of residence so they had to evacuate my mother to Leicestershire!), but I try to be one of the "ups".
Lived in NZ since 1959, so have become more kiwi than pom, although people tell me that my London accent is still discernable....

Often is. It's not always a given that you will lose your accent over time. Especially a Londoner! You've been here just about as long as I have and I was born here.

If that's you in your profile, you are extremely well preserved, I must say. Well maybe I didn't have to, but the pic doesn't look like it goes with the year.

    Can I stop digging now...?

Yeah, true. But then he had a few issues to deal with.
