Hyosung GT650R magneto?

Maybe a stupid question but I would like to know..

If I remove my magneto from my bike , can I still use it?
I understand It wont charge the battery , But that is already happening as the magneto is earthing.

I want to remove it to see if its reparable.

the ignition pick up is part of the stator assembly, it can't be removed without cutting up the wiring to the stator which will defeat what you are trying to do. so it looks like your walking while you get it repaired.
