Pretty sure the Suzuki boys were putting his bike back together coz I was chatting to him about CNC machines and gear cutting while we waited...
I do have to agree that one rule for all is how it should be. Tough Titties.
Edit: On another note the call up for the dummy grid were nothing short of a fuckup.
There were calls for the next class when the previous one hadn't even left the dummy grid. Then the final calls for classics where we started the bike straight away and Guy still spent 5 minutes on the Dummy grid because recovery had only just gone out as he arrived. Poor buggers cooking engines and cold tyres after arriving from the early first calls. Not to mention the wrong classes being called up....
I wasn't going to winge about it but one of the officials on the Grid with significant experience kept telling them to hold the calls when recovery was out but no one would listening. Happened a few years ago when I was there as well
