Funny you should say that. There is a commercial kitchen and what was once a restaurant at the motel. It only provides continental brekky now, the local cafes and eateries can do trendy food much cheaper. However, any night you want to come cook me a gor-met feed feel free! It will be great to see you. Its been ages.

yup I can do that. can understand why local cafes work if they are only offering cuntinental brekky.

I was quite relieved when they (the owners) said they don't do cooked breakfast, would have been ok up north with only eight units, but not so much when there is 32 units. Who orders a cooked breakfast (when on offer) at a motel anymore? We go to a cafe' and have done for years. Eating a cooked brekky in your motel room is so 1980's. Sir! your toast is cooked.

Ah yes the pool, fingers crossed I don't fall in whilst scooping it on a hot/humid day like we are having at the moment, that would be tragic

The move went really well. We are home! Things are finding homes and it is looking great. Someone had to test the pool to make sure it is safe to swim in.

The boss tells us that we are in the busiest time the motel has. Fully booked for the next 2 nights, nothing less than 87% all last week. Nothing beats learning the ropes at the deep end
