Smile Exhaust mods to a 1984 NV750 Honda Custom

hey people not sure if this is the right place for this, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas on making my old Honda sound a bit more like a v twin should, this is a recent addition to the Honda sancturary in my shed, but is so quite is hard to tell its running most of the time, I have bored the muffler into about 18 inches with a 3/4 bit, has improved things a little, but are now thinking of removing resonator completely from muffler, think there is still one baffle further up in pipe intact, these bikes have a chamber into which both exhausts feed, think that is why so dam quiet. I don't want huge open pipe noise but would like to hear a little rumble, so any thoughts on my plans would be appreciated cheers simonjohn
