    Christchurch Motorcycles Ltd? (Lindsay Williamson)

Thinking of going to these guys for a new tire on the Victory. Did a search, Google, not much out there. Any Kiwibikers have an opinion?

My opinion is that your stated location doesn't really tie in with this request.

If you think theres about 400kms left in your tyre and about 3-4hrs travel there, if your coming up head to Darfield and see Don at Pitlane, 03) 318 7924. Try Mcivor and vietch in dunners...

South Island roads are very hard on tyres. If you have any doubt at all about then get it replaced in Dunedin. I believe MCR are open this morning. http://www.mcr.co.nz/

A tyre is a tyre isn't it? How wrong can a shop get it for that to go pear shaped? I'd go local to wherever you are, at least if there is a problem you can go back.

Victory/Harley thing I reckon - go to a cruiser shop. I disagree as I'd propose that shops of this nature have less tyre changing experience as cruisers get a zillion kms out of their rubber and sport bikes fuck all.

Thanks for the responses. I met Scott at the Burt-fest. He works for CCM. Seems OK, so I figured to stop by and rubber up. Looks like no bad Kiwibiker news is good news.

I'll give them a call. Tire should make the trip.

Last i heard of Lindsay was he was in Carmen Road Hornby ,Christchurch Motorcycles and Auctions.
I think the official Harley dealer is Eric Woods.
My guess is the old building down by Canterbury Draught on Tuam street might not even be there anymore.
Through the 80's and 90's Lindsay used to race Blackadder a ken McIntosh egli type spine framed race bike with a modified all alloy XR1000 engine.
It was one of the bikes to beat until the 8 valve Ducati's came along.

Thread descends into chaos. Flashing lights, some blindingly white, others red with blue to purple edges. Cold, solid air pushes aside reason.
