Tyres for production 250 race bikes?

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a 250 production race bike. Had a quick blast on it on Hampton downs on the weekend and was well pleased. So much fun.

I'd like to know what tyres the top guys in the National meetings were running for tyres on the "Ninja" 250's? I thought the Ninja's had a strange rear tyre size that you would have trouble buying decent tyres for, like a 130 or something?

    Any help appreciated.

Pirelli Supercorsa SC 1 Front and either Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 or Bridgestone 003 rear is what we ran on our championship winning bike last year,Be careful to read the rules before purchasing,They are very specific on recommended rim sizes,I have researched this extensively and I know which tyres are suitable.....Oh and I will be the tech officer for NZSBK 2014 LOL

Seriously though,Luke took around 6 secs off the lap record at Taupo with the Pirelli combo above

    Ok thanks Billy.

So Luke had the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Rear? What size were they running on the rear?

Above combo definitely the best,BT003 front are somewhat unpredictable when they start to wear.

140/60 for the rear... I use Dunlop A12H's. Welcome to 250 Production Racing.
