A wee tip - you won't get to 200 with your brake on ........

You should talk to The Reibz about that. It's something he's been wondering about a bit lately too.

I haven't had the opportunity to tap out my current bike legally. My last bike was timed at 265.08km/hr, not bad for an old shitter I thought.

    My KLR *might* do 160kph.

I have 'mostly' pinned a Hyabusa, ZX14 and a V-Max though - and hit close to 300 a few times on the track. I think - at that speed I'm generally packing it too hard to look at the speedo for long.

Get some motard wheels and road tires, I can get about 15 to 20 ks faster on my DR with the motard setup.

Silk purse. DR is a much better animal for that job. I'm ok with how the klr goes stock. It's just as fast as a gixxer at the speed limit. :-)

the low 200s is not that fast once you've been there a few times ... higher up - well you do get a bit of tunnel vision ... and you don't look at the speedo too often or for long ... Brakes ?? You just hope nothing happens because you've done it in a reasonably safe place .. like NOT on the Dorkland motorway ..

Naaa .. that's just making your speedo read very inaccurately ...

    Of course!

Gotta love that road for making progress. I did Switzerland to The Netherlands border to border with an average of 160kph in a fully loaded station wagon.
