Speed kills-just ask the rabbit......
Yes , from ninth is good. I watched the start on ctas and he was a rocket to the first corner.
I'm not a fan of one over the other, in fact any really !
Nice that we can see a little bike racing on ctas, might even watch a couple today as it's too windy for me to ride.
You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
...from the Superbikes down to the Development class, the two Sth Island rounds have been totally absorbing and exciting. Dennis looks real hungry, but the battles over two rounds between Tyler Lincoln and Matt Hoogie on the 125's were fairly epic...the stellar performance over two rounds has to be Baillie Perriton's efforts...such talent out there in all the classes...too much to mention...yeehaa..
.................................................. so, who won what?
If he had changed the internal rear shock setting when I wanted him to ( instead of being afraid to do so, but riders get like that ) he would have had a better weekend!
It was a risk to do so ( you dont get a test session inbetween races ) but it paid off in spades as he a was in the third race at Levels then able to stay with Dennis the whole race instead of fading with tyre degradation.
Lucky for him he was starting way up ahead on the grid then, and manages to "stay with Dennis", imagine if Dennis had qualified on the front row in the first place.......... I would expect he does not qualify that badly again, so look out!!! (you would have to have pretty bad luck to break another top out spring!)
Speed kills-just ask the rabbit......
Dennis is a delight to work for and (frankly) always has been. Im thankful we found the issue with the top out spring before the last race. But it wasnt that so much that was frustrating him in practice, it was a fueling problem.
But yes 4 , 2 then 1 from 9th grid spot is impressive.
He and Nick have certainly expressed their intentions. As contracted Ohlins riders they both receive the same attention, as do the other 4 contracted Superbike riders. How they choose to maximise all the possibilities is up to them
Im glad it worked well, but usually if the bike isn't sorted before race day it's generally to late unless the bike is so bad that anything is worth a try. Hence I can see why Nick was a bit scared of change. It would be a similar comparison (I think) to be tempted by a hot looking chick on wedding day - but its far more practical to try the change on stag do night first and then decide before hand.
