Funny how Baz is the only reason Tom didn't win the title. Bit of a shame but that is racing. Rumours are Rea is replacing Baz. Would be my two favourite riders in the same team but I would be surprised to see him leave Honda.

There seems to be a history in motorcycling of riders helping their countrymen by fair means - and by foul. I can remember the comment by an American rider, but not who he was, after being boxed in all race in the final round he said, "If I'd known it was going to be like that I'd have brought a gun".

Becoming just a tad cynical in my old age I fear that Jack Miller may be bunted into the scenery by a Spanish rider in Valencia.

It happens in other sports, I watched a Spanish shooter cheat at a world championship, he finished third. The Canadian and New Zealand team captains reported what they had seen but the British hosts didn't want to have a scandal on their hands. I guess if someone had wanted to make a point they could have told the guy who came fourth what had happened but...
