    Puig Screens - Motosport

    Sweet,

So have been perusing online to get a better screen for the 12' bus. The stock has poor wind deflection capability and obscures the instrument cluster unless you duck down to have a look (dependent on height of rider...hobbits need not worry ). Anyway, motosport.com has awesome prices on their Puig range of screens, so I ordered the double bubble, black. Will update on their service and let you all know whether they are good to deal with. Cheapest shipping too! $40.00 NZD international, from America. Not bad.

So, if you want ZG or Puig screens, there is a good site for you.

    So Puig and not ZG?

Puig looks to be better than Zero Gravity. As long as the double bubble doesn't focus the wind into my face though I'm not super tall so it should be ok. It's got to look proper too.

They're both quality, the Puig is 3mm thick. I went with the rider reviews and price, the Puig seems to deflect wind better than the ZeroGravity, both are quality items though. If I was going touring screen, then I would definitely get ZG. The Shiki chinese one isn't worth it, half the price but poor construction quality.

Here is a comp of the Puig vs the ZG on a cbr600rr. Black is Puig, yellow is ZG.

So two weeks later the PUIG screen arrives. Screen looks good in the bag, very thick though, much thicker than the stock screen. Was a SON OF A BITCH to get in, the screen has ZERO flex. Was scared the plastics were going to crack but it went in, in fact the difference in thickness actually has push the upper dash plastic out of alignment by approximately 2-3 mm. I can live with this as it can't really be seen and by the fact the screen is awesome during use. Much easier to see the instrument panel, as the screen no longer is in the line of vision, no more sun glare bouncing off the instrument cluster as the screen is opaque black and the wind deflection is much better. Looks good too. So functionality and looks great, quality of screen great, quality of of fit, okay, could be better for the price of the screen. No instructions came with the screen and what little did was all in German.

Cheers for posting the follow up. Bummer that the fit isn't perfect. I wonder what their returns policy is.

I'm looking at motosport to get some Icon 1000 gear, so good to see that they were pretty swift to get your stuff down here. The shipping feels like it's fairly priced too - cheaper than it would be going through YouPost.

They were awesome with tracking as well, I had four update emails as it made it's way across the world to me. Na, I don't need to return it, nothing in the world is perfect, fit is 95% right, so I'm not fussed. Turns out the Puig is the thickest of the aftermarkets and it is a problem that they sometimes don't gel with the mouldings from factory, if there are slight discrepancies.
