But he was going under the speed limit.
Seriously, indians/asians etc come from countries where little vehicles give way to bigger vehicles. The driver was driving how he was trained to drive. And because NZ doesn't actually care if drivers have any level of skills, the last time he was tested for driving ability was 20years ago on a dirt toad on a 60cc scooter.
Insert Katman line "it doesn't matter if you were right if you're dead".
Either form a political party or get an MP to support a bill to actually reduce the risk of driving/riding by actually testing/training people regularly.
Or accept that it takes 2 people to crash.... Don't let people involve you in a crash.
Or vigilante justice.
After doing a 3 and a half year tour of duty as a resident professional driver in,out of and around Auckland I can confirm that once a barrage of toots and expletives as been exchanged it is standard practise to continue whatever move both parties were upset about.
You should be aware that where he comes from the most popular assassination method by the Mossad is two armed people on a motorcycle!
This incident sounds like one of those avoidable situations as others have said.
I've had my fair share of road crashes over the years through work and personal journeys, three majors and a few minors, the offending drivers have all been average joe pakeha people.
The whole race thing is one of those overstated stereotypes/urban myths, we have plenty of our own bad drivers already before the immigrants.
BTW with that class 5 and DG I'd say he probably carts containers, I wouldn't be parking that KTM near the strand after abusing him in front of his wife and kids...
You don't need Katman to tell you it's a bad idea to play chicken with a car if you're on a motorbike ...
Many manage to successfully crash on their own ... but expecting others NOT to crash into YOU because YOU are in the right ... is just plainly stupid.
Vigilante justice actions ... can tend to bite you in the ass. On the odd occasion things don't work out just how your (not very well thought out) plan was supposed to go ...
When life throws you a curve ... Lean into it ...
Glad you are both okay.
Sounds like vehicular assault. Obviously had seen you, who the fuck does a U-turn into someone? Gather evidence, get pics, make sure the cops do something about it - drag him through hell backwards! Hopefully something good will happen like no license for a long time.

For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
Yeah make a formal complaint but don't expect too much.
I had a similar coming together with a van back in the day pushing past me in a single lane after I'd undertaken him at a two lane intersection. Made a formal complaint, eventually got a phone call, was asked if I'd abused the van driver during/after the incident, said well yeah, I swore at him in my helmet, and was told that there was no point in pursuing it because he might lay a complaint against me, have a nice day.
So the impression I got was that no-one was particularly interested. Who knows, you might get someone who will make the effort to track this guy down and get a good outcome for you (and the rest of us). Don't be surprised if he lays a complaint against you for threatening behaviour - I don't think you can claim provocation as a defence.
But like everyone else has said, better to be wronged and in one piece than right and injured (or worse) - and should you be making that decision for your pillion as well? Easy for us to say with hindsight and a bit of distance, but something to consider if you find yourself in the same situation again.
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.- The Simpsons
Tobbera..... on the bright side, you live to ride another day.
Unfortunately there's plenty more where that came from.

On that note - complain to the cops. If that gets no where - find his boss and complain.
He has pretty much lost his job if you get to see the day in court. Not only will they remove his license - but he will get a criminal conviction and find it very hard to drive a truck.
