i thought you said your taking it out this year (-: , funny that everything about the 2 strokes is the bike to beat but some how the 4s seem to have that god knows thing that dose it ? last year it looked like 10 bikes could fight for the front but sort it self out fast( 2 smoker did the job) good old water cooling
The shear number of 4T bikes and good riders and the ease of 4T power delivery.
Yes on paper the 2T's look like they should have it all sown up but its not like that on the track.
On the ESE thread Frits has talked about how the wave action in the pipe collapses when a 2T throttles off and when its turned back on again the noise returns but there is a delay before the wave action builds up and the 2T starts making real power again. It seems the delay is just enough for the 4T's to get an advantage out of the corners.
I am not sure what the answer is, maybe CVT.
Any way I am certainly working on the 2T drive out of corners problem, and will hopefully find a solution so 2T's can once again take their rightful place at the head of the table ...... all day long.... then I will build an extra special 4T.... and start over again

intresting , yes on the dyno the 2 strokes have better torque than the best 4 strokes .. like you said the 4 strokes still has the better drive out the corner because of the 2 stroke delay time unless you are a cluch king but that works both ways .. we are getting to the point where we want to bulid the hole engine ...for me the engine to suits a no frame type set up like john britton..even looking at building are own wheels ... time is the thing holding me back but have some good guys that want to help and be part of it.. me i need dynomite under me lol
as long as the oil isn't liquid. try freezing it.
Don't you look at my accountant.
