The street qualifies in spades as proper . But try a 765.
I'm about to sell the Ducati I did the trackday on. The 675 is functionally equivalent, and I enjoy riding it more. I will ride a 765.

I may look at a Ducati Scrambler or possibly a Triumph Street Twin 900 scrambler. Or a KTM 390 actual offroader thingy. All I really want is something that will handle shitty gravel roads. If I want to do singletrack I have my e-mtb.

Its been on there for ten years. Its price goes up every time he relists. It's value has not increased at all. I think when I first saw it the price was maybe $16k and it was too expensive then.

We should brigade him. He can blacklist us all and we would never have to see the heap of shit again.

Somewhere in this thread there is a pic of him on another bike that he might have sold. A Hardley (of course). With a vest (of course) and a Nazi helmet (of course) and a bad attitude. Not someone I'd do business with.

Oh gawd!. Those poor carbs, and that thing on the swingarm. Even the mufflers are on a weird angle.

It needs saving. But at $2000 as restyling won't be cheap.
Sheesh even the rear Tyre spray has unfettered access to the cheap foam filters.

Surely you don't imagine it would be ridden in the wet. Or frankly ridden much at all.

I think it was PB mag who said "He deserves to be pulled apart into quarters by four screaming twostrokes "

    Appropriate, I thought.

Bit longer than ten years. I remember politely asking him if his asking price was correct when he was asking 60k for it was correct or did he have an extra 0 in the price. He blacllisted me after I told him he was dreaming.

    That was about 2005 .

The 17 inch wheels and USD forks are a sensible upgrade. What are the wheels off - FZR600 perhaps. Hopefully he engineered the rear properly so that the sprockets line up (offset front with the sprocket carrier/wheel etc sorted) so the wheels are in a line.

Cosmetic disaster though. If it had the original wee fairing and a round headlight, and some sort of age appropriate bodywork it would be better. If that incorporated classic Yammie cues like speedblocks (thinking blue Christian Sarron not yellow Kenny Roberts) even better. Fix up some of the obvious weirdnesses, ditch that stupid thing that has the number plate on it, bada boom bada bing. You've like only spent $25k all in including buying the bike, and it would be easy worth ten grand all day.

Much more fun trying to ride on gravel on a light single with decent bars, than a heavy ass twin.
Buggar the ktm390, get a real 450 or 550 supermoto its everything you need especially for the city.
Much more fun in a track day as well. I would wager you can lap faster on a SM than you would even on the 675.

A SM is the sensible solution

    I would love to.

If I could sensibly ride it. But a man with a 28 inch inseam has no business trying to ride something with a 26 inch seat height....

Not to mention the ebike with no charger or key and another bike with no front wheel, but im sure he has a perfectly valid reason for that.. /s
