Hardtails are just dumb for actual street use , why would you? I remember my dear old grandad saying his Indian virtually wrecked his back. Form entirely roughshod over function is super ghey.
Zorst has removable baffels he says though. Perhaps he forgot to mention the removable baffles are removed along with all muffler components

Still, at over 8g, that's optimistic as fuck.

Drew you've admitted you only come here to troll when you're in bad headspace (11000 posts later). Don't try play moral high ground.

Shit I went back to have a look at the price. $8800. For a CM450. That's two, maybe three RF900s.
I'm not trying to wind anyone up, I'm asking what's wrong with the bike.

Yeah, a hard tail isn't ideal for comfort. But it doesn't make it a death machine, just means ya gotta go a little bit slower.

I'm not saying it's ideal. I'd have it, or would build something similar for shits and giggles.

True this. The older ones here remember well a hardtail was a fact of life, not an option. And we enjoyed the heck out've them.

I think most people would have worked out that calculation was aimed to appeal to Drew.

An optimist is simply an immature pessimist. We need to give them time.

This Bike's Been On TradeMe For A While...

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...1021168349.htm

This First Generation Yamaha R1 1998 20,000kms has been on TradeMe for 2 years....

Is that price just outrageous.. or do people just don't like old R1s?

$8500 plus on road cost would push that bike to around $9000 to be road worthy....

Thoughts? I feel it could be cheaper... Motorcycle Imports Direct should be more... understanding?

That's grouse. They are collectable the 98s. In the Uk esp in white/red it would make that equv pounds. Here, well, a little bit optimistic.
